The High Frequency Facial begins with a thorough cleansing of the skin to remove any impurities or makeup. This ensures that the high frequency currents can penetrate deeply into the skin for maximum effectiveness. Once the skin is clean, a special glass electrode filled with neon or argon gas is used to generate a mild electrical current. This current produces a warm, tingling sensation on the skin, which many find to be quite relaxing. The safe and gentle oscillating and oxygenating power of high frequency electrical current has been shown to enhance blood circulation, increase collagen and elastin production, eliminate toxins and acne-causing bacteria, encourage lymphatic drainage, exfoliate dead skin cells and improve skin care product absorption.
