Simply wow!! If you are looking for make-up for your wedding day (or any special event for that matter), that will make you feel like a super model but in a way that you still look like you, not fake…then stop searching and call Kim!! Where do I even begin. I’ll start here, I know basically nothing about make-up unless you are asking me for stage make-up since that’s all I know how to do from my years as a competitive dancer, so I knew I needed professional help with my make-up for my wedding day. I had a very specific idea in my head of what I was in search of…bold, bright, and powerful eyes to highlight my blue eye color, absolutely no “cakey” or thick looking foundation, I didn’t want people to have a side by side picture of me everyday and me on my wedding day and have people say she doesn’t even look like the same person. I love my facial features and I didn’t want to be or look like someone I’m not, especially not on my wedding day, in pictures that I will be looking at for the rest of time. And last but not least I wanted sparkles to match our New Year’s Eve firework filled day! Kim checked off every single one of my asks and then some!
When I contacted her regarding my wedding day make-up and requests, I was very up front about my requests and also me personally knowing nothing about make-up. I also told her I have never had professional make-up done before and I also don’t wear any make-up on a daily basis so I was quite nervous about the whole process. Let me tell you, she was the kindest person and jumped right into making me feel comfortable and confident that she would make my vision come to life, just over text messages! Now just wait until you meet her in person! She is fantastic and her depth of knowledge in the world of beauty is astounding. The way she mixed colors to perfectly complement my skin. The way she handed me the mirror several times during our trial to make sure I liked how everything was looking. She is there for you, and she truly wants her clients to be in love with her work. My mom and I both had a make-up trial with her a few months prior to my wedding day and we both walked out of that trial glowing and so happy to have found Kim. I’ve heard horror stories about brides hating their professional make-up but after speaking with Kim, those horror stories are completely avoidable if you choose a professional to Kim’s standards. I walked into the trial and one of the first things she said (after giving us both a huge hug), was “You are not going to hurt my feelings. If you don’t like something I need you to tell me. Even if it’s a week from now and you look back at your pictures from the trial and think hmmm maybe I want this certain detail different, tell me.” And I did just that, as did my mom, and we worked together and talked through everything and on my wedding day my vision came to life!! I recommend Kim 100x over! And next time I’m in Colorado I will be stopping by for my facial…she does it all!!
